30th Anniversary lunch, and it’s fish and chips all round

Collage 2016-05-20 19_56_17Thirty years in business is a significant achievement for any company. Often it calls for great celebration: a champagne reception in a swanky hotel or maybe a fine dinner after which guests are addressed by a distinguished speaker. However, at LMFS we decided to mark our 30th Anniversary slightly differently…. by hosting a fish and chip lunch in our warehouse.

Supporters, some of whom were in at the very start joined The Archdeacon of Leeds, The Ven Paul Hooper, LCC Moortown Ward Councillor Sharon Hamilton, representatives from many of our client referral agencies, trading company customers, staff, trainees and other welcome guests to hear Chair of Trustees John Sherbourne give a potted history of the past, a brief examination of the present and an even briefer look at the future.

John reported that in the last twelve months the Store had supplied almost 6,000 seperate items of furniture to people in need but such was the demand that the charity still needed to find more.
